Scandinavian Biopharma gets support by the County Administrative Board in Stockholm
Scandinavian Biopharma Distribution (SBD) has been granted a SEK 250,000 business development check by the County Administrative Board in Stockholm, with the condition that SBD invests at least as much. Business Development checks are the County Administrative Board’s support for companies that want to take in external skills to develop the company and strengthen its competitiveness. The support for SBD will be used for internationalization of the business.
Scandinavian Biopharma Distribution’s plan is to expand both geographically as well as expanding the product portfolio with a number of new suppliers from Asia-Pacific. The project will start in April and is expected to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2019.
“Following a very strong development of the distribution business in the Nordic and Baltic countries since the start of 2010, we are now ready to take the next step by launching parts of our product portfolio in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We have also identified product areas where there are shortages and/or limited competition in Europe and during the next 12 months we look forward to sign a number of new supplier agreements, says Björn Sjöstrand, CEO of Scandinavian Biopharma Distribution”.
