EY Announces Scandinavian Biopharma CEO and founder, Björn Sjöstrand, as a Stockholm finalist for the prestigious ‘Entrepreneur Of The Year’ award
Björn Sjöstrand, CEO and founder at Scandinavian Biopharma, has been named as one of the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2020 Stockholm Award finalists. The Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the world’s most prestigious business awards programs and honors entrepreneurial business leaders in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries around the world.
Award winners will be announced through a special event on the 23rd of November. Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards, and then the National Overall Award winner will move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in June 2021.
“We established Scandinavian Biopharma in 2009 and worked hard to build a world leading company within diarrheal vaccine development. Our ETEC vaccine candidate is in its late clinical development phase and has the potential of saving hundreds of thousands of lives of children as well as preventing the loss of millions of well-deserved holiday trips for travelers. In our unique business model, the humanitarian and financial benefits go hand in hand. Through this business model we are also able to reach several of the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals. Under Björn’s leadership, Scandinavian Biopharma has achieved great success. The ETEC vaccine candidate has shown impressive results and the distribution business has had record-setting revenue growth every year. As a result of this Scandinavian Biopharma is one of the fastest growing companies in Sweden.
